Q. How do I add an expense?

A. From either the Main Menu or the Balances screen, tap the ‘Add New’ icon, fill in the required fields and tap ‘Done’.

Q. How do I delete an expense?

A. First, select the relevant expense from either the Balances screen, or by tapping ‘Add New’ and navigating back to it using the ‘Previous’ button. Next, hit ‘Edit’, and then ‘Delete’ at the bottom of the screen. Please note, you can only delete transactions which have yet to be downloaded to your desktop program.

Q. How do I add a payment or expense account?

A. For an account to be available for selection in the app it must first exist in your desktop software (Home/Business Accountz) and be visible in the Accounts, Balances & Budgeting/Chart of Accounts component.

Q. How do I edit whether an account is visible in the payment or expense account list (or both)?

A. Within the desktop software, access the Accounts, Balances & Budgeting component (Home) or the Chart of Accounts component (Business). Next, select the Account Manager component by clicking the pencil icon in the top left of the screen. Finally, select the account in the Account Manager that you wish to edit, click ‘Edit Account’ and then tick or untick the ‘Expense From/To’ checkbox (Home) or the ‘Purchase From/To’ checkbox (Business).

Q. How do I add a new project file/company to the app?

A. When you create a new project file in Home (or company in Business Accountz), you will be prompted to register it with the app. Consequently, the project will become available in the app automatically (and available for selection in the Project screen). If you choose not to register it at the point of creation, you can do so later in the File>Mobile App Settings screen in your desktop program.

Q. How do I view or edit a previously entered expense transaction?

A. Select the Balances screen, tap on the appropriate date to expand it, thentap the expense line to open it in the ‘View Expense’ screen (and press ‘Edit’ if you wish to edit it). Please note, you can only edit transactions which have yet to be downloaded to your desktop program.

Q. When I try to enter an amount, the keyboard does not have a decimal point

A. Select the Settings screen, and try changing the ‘Amount Keyboard’ value to ‘Text’ or ‘Phone’.

Q. How can I see my imported transactions in Home/Business Accountz?

A. Select the All Transactions component (Home Accountz) or the Purchase Transactions component (Business Accountz), and then choose the ‘Imported from Mobile App’ view to display your imported transactions.

Q. With which operating systems is the App compatible?

A. Android 2.3+, iOS 7+, Kindle.
